Notwithstanding what the convention's focus in on, the awards event has always been about celebrating the very best in OOH advertising. The OAA Awards are about brands, agencies, concessionaires and printers whose contributions are constantly re-thinking the possibilities of the medium (even if the macro-environment requires some serious intervention).
There are two significant changes in the awards process, both in the module of judging. First, there will be two separate jury panels for the creative and the media entries and the judging itself will be done separately on different days. Two, the judging process for the Media Plan of the Year awards will now include presentation slots for submitting agencies to make more detailed presentations to the jury.
